What does it mean to “Mint” an NFT?

Minting an NFT refers to the first transaction between Mapstone and an independent buyer in which a unique token is created on the Ethereum blockchain. Only after minting an NFT is the digital asset stored on the blockchain and available to be traded on the secondary marketplace. You can mint an NFT through our custom claim form or by visting Mint Now. NFTs that have already been minted can be viewed on the Mapstone Marketplace, where you can view NFTs for sale or make offers.
