Mapstone NFTs are minted on Ethereum Mainnet, the public production Ethereum blockchain. This is the same network used by many established crypto wallets, NFT marketplaces, and Ethereum applications.
Mapstone NFTs use the ERC-721 token standard. ERC-721 is designed for NFTs, where each token is unique and has its own token ID and owner.
Each Mapstone NFT’s token ID, ownership, and transfer history are recorded on Ethereum. The NFT also contains a link to its associated metadata, which provides information about the location represented by the NFT.
