Ethereum network gas fees are paid in ETH to process transactions on the blockchain. These fees are separate from the NFT’s price and are not charged or controlled by Mapstone.
Gas fees change continuously based on Ethereum network demand and the complexity of the transaction. Your wallet will calculate an estimated network fee before you confirm the transaction.
The gas limit represents the maximum amount of computational work available to complete the transaction. It is different from the price paid for each unit of gas.
We recommend leaving the gas limit at the amount estimated by your wallet. Setting it too low can cause the transaction to fail after it has been submitted, and the gas used during the failed attempt may still be charged.
Advanced settings such as the maximum fee, priority fee, gas limit, and transaction nonce should generally be changed only by users who understand Ethereum transaction mechanics. There is no single gwei amount that will remain appropriate because Ethereum fees change from block to block.
If a submitted transaction remains pending, first check whether your wallet provides a Speed Up or Cancel option. Speeding up a transaction resubmits it with a higher fee, while canceling attempts to replace it before it is confirmed. These actions may require an additional network fee and are not guaranteed to succeed if the original transaction has already been processed.
For MetaMask users, see How to speed up or cancel a pending transaction.
