How do I play Address Quest™?
Address Quest™ is played by building and managing a portfolio of Mapstone Address NFTs tied to real-world postal codes.
The core gameplay follows a simple cycle:
- 1. Research real estate market trends: Use Mapstone’s data tools to analyze residential home value trends and identify postal codes showing strength, momentum, or changing conditions. Current home value data is provided using the Zillow Home Value Index (ZHVI).
- 2. Collect Address NFTs: Strategically mint and trade Address NFTs on Mapstone. Choose addresses in postal codes you believe will perform well based on future residential home value changes.
- 3. Position before month-end: Mapstone determines eligible Address NFT ownership using the final Ethereum block mined at or before 11:59:59 PM UTC on the last day of each month. The NFTs recorded as owned by your wallet at that snapshot block are the ones scored for the month.
- 4. Earn points: The primary way to earn Address Quest™ points is through monthly residential home value changes in the postal codes tied to your Address NFTs. Once the completed monthly home value data is released, points are applied based on how those postal codes performed. Address NFTs in postal codes with rising home values gain points, while those with declining values lose points. Mapstone may also introduce additional ways to earn points over time.
- 5. Climb the leaderboard: AQ points accumulate across the season as players compete for higher leaderboard positions. Address Quest™ v1.0 concludes when the prize pool reaches a level sufficient to fund the full published reward structure, with a target prize pool of up to 10,000 ETH. At the conclusion of the competition, the top 1,000 players earn ETH rewards.
Players can adjust their portfolio throughout the competition by buying, selling, or reallocating Address NFTs before each month-end snapshot. Strong performance depends on identifying trends early and positioning accordingly.
