If the Mapstone website is temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, a server outage, or even an extremely unlikely catastrophic disruption, your Mapstone NFT will not disappear.
Mapstone NFTs are standard ERC-721 tokens recorded on Ethereum Mainnet. Ownership is maintained by the Ethereum blockchain rather than solely by Mapstone’s website or database. A website outage does not change the wallet that owns an NFT or give Mapstone any additional control over it.
While the Mapstone website is unavailable, you can still:
The way an NFT is displayed and how quickly its information is refreshed may vary between wallets and marketplaces. Some Mapstone-specific features, such as account tools, data displays, or platform services, may remain temporarily unavailable until service is restored.
Even during a major or extended disruption, the on-chain ownership record does not depend on Mapstone’s website being online. Once service is restored, Mapstone can read the current ownership information directly from Ethereum.
