About the Role
Mapstone is building infrastructure that connects real-world addresses, neighborhoods, and location intelligence to on-chain ownership and incentive systems. This role sits at the intersection of partnerships, market strategy, and platform growth.
The Director of Business Development would shape how Mapstone works with data providers, ecosystem partners, marketplaces, builders, and institutional stakeholders. It is a senior, externally facing role for someone who can turn a technical platform into clear commercial opportunities.
What You Would Work On
- Develop a pipeline of high-value partners across Web3, mapping, real estate data, local commerce, and digital asset ecosystems.
- Create partnership narratives, outreach campaigns, and pitch materials that make Mapstone's infrastructure easy to understand and evaluate.
- Negotiate pilot opportunities, co-marketing programs, marketplace integrations, and data collaboration concepts.
- Work with product and leadership to translate market feedback into practical roadmap priorities.
- Represent Mapstone in partner conversations, investor-facing updates, and ecosystem growth discussions.
Experience
8+ years in partnerships, enterprise sales, or strategic growth
- Strong track record in business development, strategic partnerships, enterprise sales, venture-backed startups, or emerging technology ecosystems.
- Ability to explain technical products to non-technical decision makers without losing accuracy.
- Comfort operating independently in a remote, early-stage environment where priorities can move quickly.
- Experience building repeatable outreach systems, partner pipelines, and follow-up processes.
Helpful Background
- Background in Web3, geospatial data, real estate technology, marketplaces, or data infrastructure.
- Existing relationships with ecosystem partners, data providers, investors, or startup operators.
