Data Analyst
Turn marketplace, location, user, and growth data into clear insights that help Mapstone make better product and business decisions.
About the Role
Mapstone works with location data, marketplace behavior, user activity, campaign performance, and Address Quest™ participation. The Data Analyst role focuses on turning those signals into practical insights for product, growth, operations, and investor-facing reporting.
This role is distinct from data engineering. Rather than building pipelines, the Data Analyst would focus on analysis, dashboards, data quality review, trend identification, and clear communication of what the numbers mean.
What You Would Work On
- Build dashboards and recurring reports for marketplace activity, user growth, minting behavior, Address Quest™ participation, and campaign performance.
- Analyze address, neighborhood, geospatial, and marketplace datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
- Support investor updates, partner conversations, product decisions, and growth experiments with clear metrics and data narratives.
- Perform data quality checks and work with engineering or data teams to flag missing, duplicated, inconsistent, or misleading records.
- Create concise written summaries that explain insights, assumptions, and recommended next steps.
Experience
3+ years in analytics, business intelligence, marketplace analysis, or data research
- Strong SQL, spreadsheet, dashboarding, and analytical storytelling skills.
- Experience analyzing product, marketplace, growth, financial, geospatial, or operational data.
- Ability to turn ambiguous questions into practical analysis plans and decision-ready outputs.
- Careful attention to data definitions, edge cases, quality issues, and communicating uncertainty clearly.
Helpful Background
- Experience with Web3 analytics, NFT marketplaces, real estate data, mapping data, SEO metrics, or referral and affiliate programs.
- Familiarity with Looker, Metabase, Tableau, Superset, Google Sheets, BigQuery, Postgres, PostGIS, or blockchain analytics tools.
